Early Life and Education

Alysha Harvey is a highly-accomplished serial entrepreneur; a business consultant, tax strategist, and accountant by trade. She is the first black woman to be Certified Tax Specialist by American Institute of Certified Tax Planners. She is best known for founding Distinct Tax Consulting Group and Distinct Financial Services. Established in 2013, the firm has seen great success under her leadership. In addition to her impressive resume and high-caliber of service, she also wrote Risk it All: Wounds to Wisdom, an informative book which dives into the struggles that entrepreneurs often face in different phases of their businesses. Her story is one of ambition, courage and humility.

Early Life and Education

Alysha Harvey, born in California and reared in Georgia after her father's retirement from the United States Air Force, is an esteemed Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent servicing businesses nationwide. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting at Savannah State University, before achieving an impressive Master of Accountancy degree from Kennesaw State University. Honing her talents thereafter working with Certified Public Accountants and Fortune 500 Companies, Alysha's expertise has allowed her to help hundreds of small business owners scale their companies from modest beginnings to producing millions in revenue. By demystifying the world of business and taxes and offering tangible strategies not easily found elsewhere, she has laid the foundation for a bright future for countless entrepreneurs.

Mrs. Harvey is humbly committed to giving back to her community, family, and friends. In addition, she takes great joy in exploring new restaurants, shopping, and traveling. To demonstrate her commitment to making a difference in the world, Mrs. Harvey is proudly affiliated with Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, Savannah State National Alumni Association, and East Atlanta Suburban Alumni Chapter for Savannah State University.
